MARISOL JIMENEZ

Le jardin est vivant avec le bruit

Le jardin est vivant avec le bruit is a kinetic sound installation consisting of a series of hanging long metal springs attached to speakers and transducers. The springs are pulled by small motors and hold resonating metal objects.

Fontana

Fontana is a kinetic sound sculpture where the sensuous singing of high tones vibrate while a series of transducers move above multiple speakers. This piece is a central part of "Le jardin est vivant avec le bruit"

ANDREAS TROBOLLOWITSCH

Minigit - extended version

is a spatial Sound Installation for nine acoustic guitars hanging on a wall. Each guitar will be tuned individually based on a whole tone scale.

Nine converted fans, which use cello bow hair instead of propellers, set the strings oscillating. Due to a different speed of each fan, the patterns change. Soundscapes arise from the soft, smooth picking of the guitar strings by the circling cello bow hair. The constantly shifting overtone layers are reminiscent of an electronically generated sound aesthetic.
